PRECEPTS FROM THE KING JAMES BIBLE

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .What are “TRUISMS?”

Self-evident truth, or that which is confirmed by experience.

IS THERE A GOD?
The invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen (the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, Eph0118), being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse, Rom0120. The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he? Job0924.

WHAT IS TRUTH?
Truth is learned by experience, cf.Gen3027. To learn obedience by the things suffered, cf.Heb0508. For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth, 2Co1308. Reason, Isa0118. We have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin, Rom0309. He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone, Jhn0807. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us, 1Jn0108. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin, 1Jn0106,07. Truth came by Jesus, Jhn-117. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, Jhn1417. He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit, Pro1217.

NO NEW THING
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
