apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose
themselves (for, The word preached did not profit them, not being
mixed with faith in them that heard it); if God peradventure will
give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that
they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who
are taken captive by him at his will. Man shall not live by bread
alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

(29) And he (Jesus) said unto them (his disciples), Know
ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? The
sower soweth the word. And these are they by the way side, where
the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately,
and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. And these
are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they
have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And
have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward,
when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately
they are offended. And these are they which are sown among thorns;

(30) The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord. Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that steal my words every one from his neighbour, Jer2308-30.
(31) Jesus said, He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. (32) Charge some that they teach no other doctrine, Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith, 1Tm0103,04.
(33) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. I (Paul) charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry, 2Tm0316-0405.
(34) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ, Gal0106-12.
(35) Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him, 1Jn0224-27.
(36) Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it, Amo0811,12.
