Summary:
...Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver. Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God, Pss5022,23.
Further reading:
(1) I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images, Isa4208. Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me, Pss5023.
(2) Because of the Pharisees (traditionalists, Mrk0709) they (the Jews) did not confess him (Jesus), lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God, Jhn1242,43.
(3) They cried out, Away with him (Jesus), away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priest answered, We have no king but Caesar, Jhn1915.
I (God) will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms. For their mother (Babylon the Great, Rev1705) hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink. Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths. And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now. For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal (he that rules and subdues), Hos0204-08.
(4) Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp (to the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man, Heb0802), bearing his reproach. For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased, Heb1308-16.
(5) It is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy, 1Pe0206-10.
(6) Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory, Eph0109-14.
(7) God
that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is
Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any
thing, seeing he
giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made
of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of
the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and
the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord,
if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be
not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and
have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For
we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring
of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold,
or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. And the times
of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every
where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which
he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath
ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that
he hath raised him from the dead, Act1724-31.
(8) The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom (the Lamb of God, Rev2109: Jhn0136), and the voice of the bride (Jerusalem, which is above, Rev2109:Gal0426), the voice of them that shall say, Praise the Lord of hosts: for the Lord is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord, Jer3311.
