At the time of the end concerning Israel, and the people of God:
Summary:
THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS:
These things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
And as he (Jesus) sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows, Mat2403-08.
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation (any graven or molten image, Deu2715), spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! Mat2409-19.
But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together, Mat2420-28.
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened (nuclear winter?), and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away, Mat2429-35.
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh, Luk2125-28. (which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body, Rom0823)
But of that day and hour knoweth no man,
no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days
of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For
as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and
drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that
Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and
took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man
be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and
the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one
shall be taken, and the other left, Mat2436-41.
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they
drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But
the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone
from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in
the day when the Son of man is revealed. In that day, he which
shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him
not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let
him likewise not return back. Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall
seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose
his life shall preserve it. I tell you, in that night there shall
be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall
be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be
taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the
one shall be taken, and the other left. And they answered and
said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever
the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together, Luk1728-37.
Persecution.
But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted,
and shall kill you:
Ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another,
and shall hate one another.
Many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax
cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
There shall not an hair of your head perish.
(For God hath not appointed
us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ)
In your patience possess ye your souls.
I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; And of the ten horns (kings, Rev1712) that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom, Dan0715-22.
Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him, Dan0723-27.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed (the beast), the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea (the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt, Isa5720), having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints, Rev1301-10.
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth (As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy, 1Co1548: who mind earthly things, Phl0319); and he had two horns like a lamb (Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits, Mat0715,16), and he spake as a dragon (Satan, Rev1209). And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six (666), Rev1311-18.
And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion (noise, tumult), and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters, Rev1401-07.
When ye see
If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark
in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine
of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into
the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire
and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence
of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever
and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the
beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the
commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. And I heard a voice
from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which
die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they
may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
The gospel preached.
And this gospel of the kingdom (of heaven) shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations.
The fourth beast.
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time, Dan0723-25.
Then shall the end come.
When ye...shall see the abomination of desolation,
spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place,
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know
that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains;
Let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not
them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are
written may be fulfilled.
There shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this
people.
They shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away
captive into all nations:
Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times
of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
The great tribulation:
For false Christs and false prophets shall
rise,
And shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible,
even the elect.
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know
that the desolation thereof is nigh.
For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are
written may be fulfilled.
There shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this
people.
Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times
of the Gentiles be fulfilled,
At that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people (Israel): and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book (They that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name, Mal0316). And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
After that tribulation:
In those days, after that tribulation, the
sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in
heaven shall be shaken.
The second coming of Christ:
And then shall they see the Son of man coming
in the clouds with great power and glory.
And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his
elect from the four winds.
When?
That day and that hour knoweth no man, no,
not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Acts 1: 6 (KJV)
When they (Jesus and his disciples) therefore were come together, they asked of him,
saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom
to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know
the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own
power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost
is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part
of the earth (And the things
that thou hast heard of me 'Paul' among many witnesses, the same
commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others
also, 2Tm0202). And when he had spoken
these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud
received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly
toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in
white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye
gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from
you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen
him go into heaven, Act0106-11.
2The 2: 1 (KJV)
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not
soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by
word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is
at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall
not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man
of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth
himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so
that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that
he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you,
I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that
he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity
doth already work: only he who now letteth will let (hinder the gospel of Christ,
1Co0912), until he be taken out of the
way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall
consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the
brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the
working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And
with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
because they received not the love of the truth, that they might
be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion,
that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned
who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness,
2Th0201-12.
Ephe 2: 8 (KJV)
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good
works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them,
Eph0208-10.
Roma 1: 15 (KJV)
So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you
that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:
for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;
to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness
of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The
just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from
heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who
hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may
be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto
them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the
world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are
made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without
excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not
as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations,
and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to
be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible
God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds,
and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also
gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts,
to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed
the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature
more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this
cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women
did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman,
burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working
that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence
of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to
retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate
mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled
with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness,
maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity;
whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters,
inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding,
covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things
are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in
them that do them, Rom0115-32.
Isai 3: 12 (KJV)
As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule
over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err,
and destroy the way of thy paths. The LORD standeth up to plead,
and standeth to judge the people. The LORD will enter into judgment
with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for
ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your
houses. What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind
the faces of the poor? saith the LORD GOD of hosts, Isa0312-15.
John 15: 1 (KJV)
I (Jesus)
am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch
in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch
that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more
fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto
you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit
of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except
ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth
in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without
me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast
forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast
them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and
my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall
be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear
much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples, Jhn1501-08.
Isai 1: 2 (KJV) Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider. Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment. Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city. Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah, Isa0102-09.
Luke 17: 26 (KJV)
And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the
days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married
wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered
into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise
also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they
bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same
day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from
heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day
when the Son of man is revealed. In that day, he which shall
be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not
come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him
likewise not return back. Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall
seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose
his life shall preserve it. I tell you, in that night there
shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other
shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall
be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the
one shall be taken, and the other left. And they answered and
said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever
the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together, Luk1726-37.
Dani 9: 22 (KJV)
And he (the angel Gabriel) informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel,
I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. At the
beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and
I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore
understand the matter, and consider the vision. Seventy weeks
(each day for a year, cf.Eze0406) are determined upon thy people (Israel)
and upon thy holy city (Jerusalem, Neh1101),
to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to
make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting
righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to
anoint the most Holy (Jesus
Christ). Know therefore and understand,
that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to
build Jerusalem (destroyed
by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon cf. 2Kg2508)
unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore
and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall,
even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks (subtotal 69 weeks)
shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people
of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary
(A.D.70); and the end thereof shall be with a flood (The enemy shall come in like a flood,
Isa5919), and unto the end of the war
desolations are determined (until
the fulness of the Gentiles be come in, Rom1125).
And he shall confirm the covenant (the
deeds of the law, Rom0320) with many
for one week (7 years): and in the midst of the week (after 3.5 years) he shall
cause the sacrifice and the oblation (offering
according to the law, cf.Heb0804) to
cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make
it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined
shall be poured upon the desolate (or,
desolator, Dan0927m), Dan0922-27.
Dani 8: 9 (KJV)
A little horn (a man having
receive power as a king one hour with the beast, cf.Rev1712), which waxed exceeding great, toward the south,
and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed
great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the
host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. Yea,
he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him
the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary
was cast down. And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice
by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the
ground; and it practised, and prospered. Then I heard one saint
speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which
spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice,
and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary
and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto
two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary
be cleansed, Dan0809-14.
Dani 7: 19 (KJV)
Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse
from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron,
and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped
the residue with his feet; And of the ten horns that were in his
head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell;
even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great
things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. I beheld,
and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against
them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to
the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints
possessed the kingdom. Thus he said, The fourth beast shall
be the fourth kingdom (from
that of Nebuchadnezzar, Dan0237,38)
upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall
devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it
in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings
that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall
be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And
he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear
out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and
laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times
and the dividing of time (3.5
years).
But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion,
to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and
dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven,
shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose
kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve
and obey him. Hitherto is the end of the matter, Dan0719-28.
Reve 17: 1 (KJV)
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials,
and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto
thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and
the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine
of her fornication (ye forsake
the LORD, and serve strange gods, Jos2420).
So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I
saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of
blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was
arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and
precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full
of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her
forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER
OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman
drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the
martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will
tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth
her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. The beast that
thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless
pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall
wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from
the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was,
and is not, and yet is. And here is the mind which hath wisdom.
The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the
other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a
short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the
eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. And the
ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received
no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the
beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength
unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb
shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings:
and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where
the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and
tongues. And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast,
these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked,
and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath
put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give
their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be
fulfilled. And the woman which thou sawest is that great city,
which reigneth over the kings of the earth, Rev1701-18.
Reve 13: 11 (KJV)
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth (he that is of the earth is earthly, and
speaketh of the earth, Jhn0331: they who mind earthly things,
Phl0319); and he had two horns like
a lamb (the false prophet,
Rev1920), and he spake as a dragon (Satan, Rev2002).
And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him,
and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship
the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great
wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth
in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth
by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the
sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth,
that they should make an image to the beast, which had the
wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life
unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should
both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image
of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small
and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in
their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might
buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast,
or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding
count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man;
and his number is Six hundred threescore and six, Rev1311-18.
Reve 14: 1 (KJV)
And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb (The
Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world, Jhn0129) stood on the mount Sion (which is Hermon, Deu0448),
and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's
name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven,
as the voice of many waters (peoples,
and multitudes, and nations, and tongues, Rev1715), and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard
the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as
it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts,
and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred
and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are
virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he
goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits
unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile:
for they are without fault before the throne of God. And I
saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting
gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every
nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud
voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment
is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the
sea, and the fountains of waters. And there followed another
angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city,
because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of
her fornication. And the third angel followed them, saying with
a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and
receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall
drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without
mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented
with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and
in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth
up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who
worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark
of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are
they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed
are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith
the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works
do follow them, Rev1401-13.
Reve 20: 4 (KJV)
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given
unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for
the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not
worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received
his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they
lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of
the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.
This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath
part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath
no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and
shall reign with him a thousand years, Rev2004-06.
Reve 6: 9 (KJV)
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar
the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for
the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice,
saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and
avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes
were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them,
that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants
also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should
be fulfilled. And I beheld when he had opened the sixth
seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became
black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And
the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree
casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together;
and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men,
and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman,
and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks
of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on
us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne,
and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath
is come; and who shall be able to stand? Rev0609-17.
Reve 14: 14 (KJV)
And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one
sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown,
and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of
the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud,
Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee
to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat
on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth
was reaped. And another angel came out of the temple which
is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel
came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried
with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust
in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the
earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in
his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth,
and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And
the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out
of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of
a thousand and six hundred furlongs, Rev1414-20.
Reve 15: 1 (KJV)
And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven
angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up
the wrath of God. And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled
with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast,
and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of
his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song
of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord
God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou
only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee;
for thy judgments are made manifest. And after that I looked,
and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in
heaven was opened: And the seven angels came out of the temple,
having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and
having their breasts girded with golden girdles. And one of the
four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full
of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. And the temple
was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power;
and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues
of the seven angels were fulfilled. And I heard a great voice
out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and
pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth, Rev1501-1601.
Matt 24: 15 (KJV)
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation (an image of the beast, Rev1315), spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the
holy place, (whoso readeth, let
him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the
mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take
any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field
return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with
child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that
your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since
the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh
be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there;
believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false
prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch
that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto
you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is
in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning
cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall
also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the
carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together, Mat2415-28,
1The 5: 1 (KJV)
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that
I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day
of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall
say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them,
as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake
you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children
of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore
let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken
are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober,
putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet,
the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath,
but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died
for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together
with him, 1Th0501-10.
Luke 21: 20 (KJV)
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then
know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which
are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in
the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries
enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all
things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them
that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days!
for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon
this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword,
and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem
shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the
Gentiles be fulfilled, Luk2120-24.
Dani 11: 40 (KJV)
And at the time of the end shall the king of the south
push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him
like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many
ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow
and pass over. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and
many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out
of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children
of Ammon. He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries:
and the land of Egypt shall not escape. But he shall have power
over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious
things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at
his steps. But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall
trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy,
and utterly to make away many. And he shall plant the tabernacles
of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain;
yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him, Dan1140-40.
Reve 12: 7 (KJV)
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against
the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed
not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the
great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil,
and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast
out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation,
and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his
Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused
them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the
blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they
loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens,
and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth
and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great
wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. And when
the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted
the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman
were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into
the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time,
and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And
the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman,
that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the
earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed
up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon
was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant
of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the
testimony of Jesus Christ, Rev1207-17.
Reve 13: 1 (KJV)
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up
out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his
horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And
the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were
as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and
the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his
deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the
beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the
beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto
the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given
unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power
was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened
his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and
his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given
unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and
power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names
are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the
foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear.
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that
killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is
the patience and the faith of the saints, Rev1301-10.
Dani 12: 6 (KJV)
And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters
of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters
of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand
unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it
shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have
accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these
things shall be finished, Dan1206,07.
Dani 12: 1 (KJV)
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which
standeth for the children of thy people (Israel): and there
shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was
a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall
be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament;
and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever
and ever. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the
book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro,
and knowledge shall be increased, Dan1201-04.
Dani 12: 5 (KJV)
Then I Daniel looked (in the
vision, Dan0816), and, behold, there
stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river,
and the other on that side of the bank of the river. And one said
to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the
river (ulai, Dan0816), How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters
of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand
unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it
shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have
accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these
things shall be finished. And I heard, but I understood not:
then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and
sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made
white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of
the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. And
from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away,
and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be
a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waiteth,
and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and
stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Roma 11: 25 (KJV)
For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this
mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness
in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles
be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written,
There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away
ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them,
when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they
are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they
are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling
of God are without repentance. For as ye in times past have
not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy
they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in
unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all, Rom1125-32.
Ezek 39: 21 (KJV)
And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen
shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I
have laid upon them. So the house of Israel shall know that I
am the LORD their God from that day and forward. And the
heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity
for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore
hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their
enemies: so fell they all by the sword. According to their
uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done
unto them, and hid my face from them. Therefore thus saith the
Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and
have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous
for my holy name; After that they have borne their shame,
and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against
me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered
them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in
the sight of many nations; Then shall they know that I am the
LORD their God, which cause them to be led into captivity among
the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and
have left none of them any more there. Neither will I hide my
face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon
the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, Eze3921-29.
Matt 24: 29 (KJV)
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun
be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars
shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be
shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall
see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and
great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of
a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four
winds, from one end of heaven to the other, Mat2429-31. (from the uttermost part of the earth to
the uttermost part of heaven, Mrk1327.)
Luke 21: 25 (KJV)
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the
stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity;
the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear,
and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:
for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they
see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up,
and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh, Luk2125-28.
(which have the firstfruits
of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting
for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body, Rom0823)
John 5: 24 (KJV)
Verily, verily, I (Jesus) say unto you, He that heareth my word, and
believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall
not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is,
when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they
that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself;
so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath
given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the
Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in
the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And
shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection
of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of
damnation. I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I
judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will,
but the will of the Father which hath sent me. If I bear witness
of myself, my witness is not true, Jhn0524-31.
1The 4: 16 (KJV)
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and
the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive
and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with
the Lord, 1Th0416,17.
Reve 14: 14 (KJV)
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud
one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden
crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came
out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on
the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come
for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And
he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and
the earth was reaped, Rev1414-16.
Reve 14: 18 (KJV)
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power
over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp
sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the
clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered
the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of
the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden without
the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the
horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
Joel 3: 9 (KJV)
Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the
mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears:
let the weak say, I am strong. Assemble yourselves, and come,
all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither
cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. Let the heathen
be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there
will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Put ye in the
sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press
is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. Multitudes,
multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD
is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall
be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The LORD
also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem;
and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be
the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion,
my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall
no strangers pass through her any more, Jol0309-17.
Jere 51: 42 (KJV)
The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude
of the waves thereof. Her cities are a desolation, a dry land,
and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth
any son of man pass thereby. And I will punish Bel in Babylon,
and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed
up: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him:
yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall. My people, go ye out of the
midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce
anger of the LORD. And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for
the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both
come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour,
and violence in the land, ruler against ruler. Therefore, behold,
the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images
of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her
slain shall fall in the midst of her. Then the heaven and the
earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the
spoilers shall come unto her from the north, saith the LORD. As
Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon
shall fall the slain of all the earth, Jer5142-49.
Roma 2: 1 (KJV)
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that
judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself;
for thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that
the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit
such things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them
which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape
the judgment of God? Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness
and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness
of God leadeth thee to repentance? But after thy hardness and
impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the
day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who
by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour
and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious,
and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation
and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man
that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But
glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the
Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of
persons with God, Rom0201-11.
Deut 4: 23 (KJV)
Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the
LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image,
or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden
thee. For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous
God. When thou shalt beget children, and children's children,
and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt
yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing,
and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke
him to anger: I call heaven and earth to witness against you this
day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto
ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days
upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed. And the LORD shall scatter
you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among
the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you. And there ye shall
serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither
see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell. But if from thence thou shalt
seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with
all thy heart and with all thy soul. When thou art in tribulation,
and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days,
if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his
voice; (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake
thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers
which he sware unto them, Deu0423-31.
