NOTATION
Chapter and verse are indicated by a seven character figure code, of which the following is an example: The phrase "God is love" is taken from the First Epistle of John, Chapter 4, Verse 8. It would be noted in the text as 1Jn0408. The first three characters/figures representing the Book of the Bible; the next two figures, the Chapter; and the last two figures, the Verse. The one exception is the Book of the Psalms, when some times it is represented by the letter P, or Ps, or Pss, according to the number of figures which follow: i.e. The phrase "give me understanding" is taken from the Book of Psalms, Chapter 119, Verse 125. It would be noted in the text as P119125. The letter ‘m’ sometimes included in the code, means that the word or phrase has been given in the centre margin references of the Bible.
