Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (21) Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. (22) For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe, 1Th0213.

Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets; Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you, Act1338-41.
(26) Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth. And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha. What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed, Rom0927-33.
(27) For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth, Rom1003,04.
(28) Now
we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them
who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all
the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds
of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for
by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness
of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law
and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith
of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there
is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory
of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation
through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the
remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might
be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where
is boasting then?
It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of
faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith
without the deeds of the law. Is he the God of the Jews only?
is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: Seeing
it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision (the Jews)
by faith, and uncircumcision (the Gentiles) through faith. Do
we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish
the law, Rom0319-31.
(29) And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation, Heb0922-28.
(30) The
preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but
unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written,
I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing
the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is
the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God
made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom
of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the
foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews
require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach
Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock,
and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called,
both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom
of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and
the weakness of God is stronger than men, 1Co0118-25.
(31) And he (Jesus) commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost, Act1042-45.

foolish unbelievers, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not
obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently
set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you,
Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law (carnal ordinances,
or, rites, or, ceremonies, Heb0910m), or by the hearing of faith?
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made
perfect by the flesh? Have ye suffered so many things in vain?
if it be yet in vain. He therefore that ministereth to you the
Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works
of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Even as Abraham believed
God, and it was accounted to him for
righteousness, Gal0301-06.
(33) For
the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for
the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
How then
shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how
shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how
shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach,
except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet
of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings
of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias
saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh
by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, Rom1011-17.
(34) Jesus
said, The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father
will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring
all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you,
Jhn1426. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth

that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life, Jhn0663;
even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because
it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he

(35) Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again, Jhn0305-07.
(36) Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures, Jas0118.
(37) Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. (38) Let
that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning.
If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in
you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And
this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
These things
have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the
anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye
need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth
you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it
hath taught you, ye shall abide in him, 1Jn0224-27.
(39) Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit, Jhn0305-08.
(40) And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them, Mat1310-17.
(41) If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luk1113. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath, Mat1312.
(42) Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. 29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage, Gal0428-0501.
(43) When we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ, Gal0403-07.
