PRECEPTS FROM THE KING JAMES BIBLE
The basics of understanding the Holy Scriptures:
Not speaking thine own words!!
Isai 28: 9 (KJV)
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand
doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the
breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept;
line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to
this people. 12 To whom he said, This is the rest (the sabbath)
wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing:
yet they would not hear. 13 But the word of the LORD was unto
them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line,
line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might
go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
1Joh 4: 5 (KJV)
They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and
the world heareth them. 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth
us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit
of truth, and the spirit of error.
Hebr 5: 11 (KJV)
Jesus Christ, Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to
be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 12 For when for the
time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you
again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and
are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness:
for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are
of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses
exercised to discern both good and evil.
John 3: 34 (KJV)
For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth
not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35 The Father loveth the Son,
and hath given all things into his hand.
John 1: 17 (KJV)
Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
John 14: 17 (KJV)
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because
it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he
dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 15: 1 (KJV)
I (Jesus) am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and
every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring
forth more fruit (the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his
name, Heb1315). 3 Now ye are clean (sanctified through
the truth, Jhn1719) through the word which I have spoken unto
you. 4 Abide in me (My doctrine, Jhn1716), and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in
the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine,
ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the
same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and
is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire,
and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in
you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall
ye be my disciples.
John 7: 16 (KJV)
Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his
that sent me. 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of
the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that
seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness
is in him.
Hebr 13: 15 (KJV)
By him (Jesus Christ high priest after the order of Melchisedec,
Heb0510) therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to
God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks
to his name.
John 9: 39 (KJV)
Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they
which see not might see (Ephe 1: 18 The eyes of your understanding
being enlightened); and that they which see (Roma 2: 28
that which is outward in the flesh) might be made blind.
Gala 6: 12 (KJV)
As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain
you to be circumcised (the customs which Moses delivered us,
Act0614); only lest they should suffer persecution for the
cross of Christ (For the preaching of the cross is to them
that perish foolishness, 1Co0118). 13 For neither they themselves
who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised,
that they may glory in your flesh. (Matt 23: 5 (KJV) all
their works they do for to be seen of men:) 14 But God forbid
that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,
by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything,
nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. of the Lord Jesus.
John 3: 6 (KJV)
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born
of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye
must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou
hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh,
and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Luke 18: 17 (KJV)
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom
of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
John 1: 6 (KJV)
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same
came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men
through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent
to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which
lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the
world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons
of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born,
not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of
man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among
us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten
of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 14: 17 (KJV)
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because
it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he
dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Gala 3: 2 (KJV)
This only would I (Paul) learn of you, Received ye the
Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made
perfect by the flesh? (John 6: 63 (KJV) 63 It is the spirit
that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the
words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.)
Roma 12: 2 (KJV)
Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing
of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God. (2Cor 5: 17 (KJV)17 Therefore if
any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed
away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are
of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and
hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that
God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing
their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word
of reconciliation.)
Roma 8: 14 (KJV)
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons
of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again
to fear (death, Heb0215); but ye have received the Spirit
of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself
beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be
also glorified together.
Prov 14: 12 (KJV)
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof
are the ways of death.
Matt 4: 4 (KJV)
It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every
word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Isai 8: 20 (KJV)
If they speak not according to this word, it is because there
is no light in them.
Jere 23: 16 (KJV)
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the
prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak
a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
1Joh 1: 5 (KJV)
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare
unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness,
we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, (2Cor
4: 4 (KJV) the light of the glorious gospel of Christ)
as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and
the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Isai 58: 13 (KJV)
If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure
on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the
LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways,
nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause
thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee
with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD
hath spoken it. (Roma 14: 5 One man esteemeth one day above
another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully
persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth
it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord
he doth not regard it.)
Jere 23: 28 (KJV)
The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that
hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff
to the wheat? saith the LORD. 29 Is not my word like as a fire?
saith the LORD.
Matt 3: 12 (KJV)
(Jesus Christ) Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly
purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he
will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Roma 10: 8 (KJV)
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and
in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. (Saved from sin Mat0121: from wrath, Rom0509:
from death.) 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the
scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for
the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they
preach, except they be sent? (John 3: 34 (KJV) For he whom
God hath sent speaketh the words of God:)
John 5: 24 (KJV)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth
on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come
into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 12: 46 (KJV)
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on
me should not abide in darkness. 47 And if any man hear my words,
and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the
world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth
not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have
spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. 49 For I have
not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me
a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50
And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever
I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Ephe 1: 18 (KJV)
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may
know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the
glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding
greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the
working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when
he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand
in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power,
and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only
in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath
put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over
all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of
him that filleth all in all.
1Cor 11: 3 (KJV)
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ.
Colo 2: 8 (KJV)
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit,
after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world,
and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of
the Godhead bodily. 10
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality
and power:
John 3: 3 (KJV)
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he
cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3: 6 (KJV) That which
is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit
is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born
again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the
sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither
it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus
answered and said unto)
Hebr 2: 3 (KJV)
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at
the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto
us by them that heard him. (1Joh 1: 1 (KJV) 1Joh 1:1 That
which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have
seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have
handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested,
and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that
eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto
us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you,
that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship
is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these
things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 5 This then
is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you,
that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say
that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie,
and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is
in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood
of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.) (2Tim
2: 2 (KJV) 2 And the things that thou hast heard of me [Paul]
among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who
shall be able to teach others also.)
2Tim 3: 15 (KJV)
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which
are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which
is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of
God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be
perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
John 14: 22 (KJV)
Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou
wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus
answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my
words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him,
and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth
not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the
Father's which sent me. 25 These things have I spoken unto you,
being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the
Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach
you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever
I have said unto you.
2Tim 2: 2 (KJV)
And the things that thou hast heard of me (Paul) among
many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall
be able to teach others also.
Acts 17: 2 (KJV)
And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath
days reasoned with them out of the scriptures.
1Cor 2: 12 (KJV)
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit
which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely
given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the
words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth;
comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural
man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are
foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are
spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all
things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known
the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the
mind of Christ.
Matt 13: 52 (KJV)
Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of
heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth
forth out of his treasure things new and old (Isa 28:10 For
precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon
line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.)
1Cor 2: 1 (KJV)
And I, brethren, when I (Paul) came to you, came not with
excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony
of God. 2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save
Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness,
and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching
was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration
of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand
in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6 Howbeit we speak
wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this
world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden
wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known
it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as
it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have
entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared
for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us
by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep
things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save
the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth
no man, but the Spirit of God.
1Pet 4: 10 (KJV)
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same
one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any
man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth:
that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ,
to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
